Bio
Sergi Locubiche-Serra was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1991. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in telecommunication engineering in 2012 and 2014, respectively (both with honors), from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). In 2014 he received the CETC/ACET and the COETC/COIT prizes awarding the best M.Sc. academic records. From October 2013 to July 2014 he was involved in the ADAPT project funded by the European Space Agency (ESA), doing research on adaptive tracking techniques for GNSS receivers. From October 2014 to April 2015 he was involved in the HISENS project funded by ESA, doing research on near-far detection and mitigation methods for robust signal acquisition with indoor GNSS receivers. From March 2015 to February 2018 he was pursuing the PhD degree at the SPCOMNAV group, funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya under the FI-DGR-2015 program, and until July 2019 funded as a project engineer.
On July 18, 2019, he completed his PhD entitled "Robust Carrier Tracking Techniques for GNSS Receivers Affected by Ionospheric Scintillation" at the SPCOMNAV group.
On January 9, 2023, he moved to Industry and he is now with Indra (Barcelona), as member of the Satellite Navigation Department.
Research interests
His research interests lie in the field of signal processing for communications and navigation, as well as robust satellite positioning techniques for high sensitivity GNSS receivers, involving interference detection/mitigation.Recent publications
