Bio

Juan Manuel Parro-Jiménez was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1988. He received the M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering in 2011 and currently he is pursuing a Master Degree in Design of Telecommunication Systems, both from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). He has been involved in the CENIT-INTEGRA project (from 2010 to 2011) investigating jamming and spoofing mitigation techniques for GNSS and implementing a GNSS receiver with Software Defined Radio (SDR) equipment. In 2012, and thanks to a collaboration between the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, the European Space Agency (ESA) and UAB, he has been awarded a grant to carry out an internship of two years at ESTEC-ESA, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. From 2012 to 2015 he was a PhD student at the SPCOMNAV group, within the Department of Telecommunication and Systems Engineering of UAB.

Research interests

His research interests are in signal processing with applications to communications and navigation, synchronization techniques and GNSS receivers.
