SPCOMNAV was set up in 2005 as a research group within the Department of Telecommunications and Systems Engineering at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). The group was formed by individual contracting from several institutions (ESA, UPC, CTTC) and focuses its activities in the field of signal processing for communications and navigation. The group has a recognized experience in MIMO wireless communications, array signal processing for GNSS, indoor positioning and ultra-wideband systems. Our research group belongs to the eMOV and eMobility technological platforms.
We hold a Chair of Technology and Knowledge Transfer UAB Research Park - Santander.
SPCOMNAV has received the recognition of emerging research group to be funded (SGR-GRE) by the Catalan government. SPCOMNAV is also partially funded by the European FEDER program through the project UNAB08-4E-005.
